Tomb-Sweeping Activity Hits Peak on April 4 in Hunan

According to the civil affairs department at all levels in Hunan, the 80 plus cemeteries in the province received more than 800 thousands of people participating in the tomb-sweeping activity on April 4 during the Tomb-Sweeping Festival.

In the Hunan Revolutionary Cemetery Park where lots of revolutionary martyrs were buried, 18 thousand citizens paid homage and presented flowers to martyrs in the morning, including large numbers of students and army officers and soldiers.

Another big cemetery, the Tangren Wanshouyuan Cemetery of Changsha where about 20 thousand of the departed were buried, received 5,000 visitors in the morning. The total amount is estimated to exceed 10 thousand plus the self-driving residents.

To relieve the traffic pressure caused by cars, a special shutter bus service between the Tangren Wanshouyuan Cemetery and Xiaoxiang Cemetery is scheduled for tomb-sweeping from March 30 to April 6.
