The Tenth Hunan Provincial Congress of the CPC lowered the curtain successfully at the Hunan Provincial People's Hall on the afternoon of Nov. 22, 2011.
The congress reviewed and passed the Resolution of the Tenth Hunan Provincial Congress of the CPC on the Report of the Ninth CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and the Resolution of the Tenth Hunan Provincial Congress of the CPC on the Work Report of the Ninth CPC Hunan Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection.
Zhou Qiang, secretary of CPC Hunan Provincial Committee delivered a speech at the closing ceremony. He stated that the congress has fully promoted democracy by listening to the opinions of the masses, examined and adopted the report of the Ninth CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and the report on the work of the Ninth CPC Hunan Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection, and elected the Tenth CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and the Tenth CPC Hunan Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection.
Zhou stressed that the general task, overall strategy and major programs laid down at the congress for Hunan Province in the following five years displayed the wisdom of all the deputies, Party members and the masses, embodied the common aspiration and fundamental interests of people across the province, and implied a promising prospect of the province.
