The First Changsha International Marathon Held

The first Changsha International Marathon 2015 was held in Changsha at 7:30 am on Oct. 18. Over 15,000 runners from home and abroad participated in the event. The route of the race began at south square of Helong Stadium and passed through the city’s tourist attractions including Xiangjiang River Scenic Belt, Orange Isle, Yuelu Mountain Scenic Area, Meixi Lake and Yanghu Wetland Park.

During the full marathon, Robert Kiplimo Kipkemboi from Kenya won the men’s race in 2 hours 16 minutes and 40 seconds, and Seada Kedir Adilo from Ethiopia won the women’s race in 2 hours 34 minutes and 31 seconds.
