According to Changsha Frontier Inspection Station, 7,213 passengers and 50 flight arrivals and departure were noted to-and-from Hunan from April 1 to 5, 2011. Among these travelers, Taiwan compatriots coming to Hunan amounted to 1, 815, a year-on-year increase of 10%, and foreign tourists totaled up to 3,543, up by 21% over last year.

Many Hunanese offspring’s residing in foreign countries came back to pay tribute to their ancestors or visit relatives around Tomb-sweeping Day this year. This contributed to a traffic peak during this period.

In line with the traffic flow, Changsha Frontier Inspection Station introduced special services during the Tomb-sweeping period and improved service efficiency of its special passages. In addition, more passages were opened to ensure smooth passenger flow during rush hours. This was highly spoken of and appreciated by the visitors.
