On the evening of July 2, Secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee Zhou Qiang and Governor of Hunan Province Xu Shousheng met in Changsha with a delegation headed by Yu Guangzhou, Secretary of Party Leadership Group and Commissioner of the General Administration of Customs (GAC) of the People’s Republic of China.
Secretary Zhou extended gratitude to GAC for its long-standing support to Hunan’s social and economic development. He stated that in recent years, Hunan has intensified efforts to open to the outside world and sped up the development of open economy. The province has also witnessed increased role of advantageous location and maintained a good momentum of development in industrial transfer undertaking and investment promotion. Changsha Customs has made positive contributions to serving the social and economic development in Hunan, in particular promoting its open economy. Mr. Zhou hoped that GAC can rend its support to Hunan as always, and stimulate the province’s sound and rapid growth of the open economy. He promised that Hunan will try to facilitate the work of customs as before.
Secretary Yu thanked Hunan for its great attention paid to the work of customs. He remarked GAC will further strengthen cooperation with Hunan, and provide better service for its social and economic development.
