Korean Tourists: Main Overseas Customers for Zhangjiajie Wulingyuan

According to the incomplete statistics of the travel department of Wulingyuan scenic spot, Zhangjiajie, the core scenic area of Wulingyuan received around 90 thousand tourists in the first half of the year, accounting for over 60% of the total of overseas tourists.

Korean tourists have always been the main overseas customer source of Zhangjiajie. Taking advantage of the direct flight between two sides, Zhangjiajie vigorously promote its ecological travel brand and ticket-free policy for students this year, in order to expand the South Korean tourist market.

Meanwhile, via the convenient air traffic, some major international travel agencies of Zhangjiajie invite key travel businessmen and mainstream media of South Korea to survey in Zhangjiajie. It is found from the incomplete statistics that Wulingyuan scenic spot received over 200 Korean travel businessmen and media in the first half of this year.

One of the reasons that Korean tourists make Zhangjiajie as their first choice for traveling is the comfortable service provided there. For instance, some hotels in Wulingyuan administrative area specially set up Korean phones and provide Korean speaking waiters, so as to facilitate the communication between Korean tourists and Chinese.

Moreover, several authentic Korean restaurants have been opened in the area. The supervision over the quality of foods provided for the Korean tourist group is strengthened to ensure their food safety.
