Vice Chairman of the national committee of CPPCC and Executive Vice Chairman of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang Qi Xuchun, member of the national committee of CPPCC and Vice Chairman of the Revolutionary Committee Zhen Jianbang, and Vice Chairman of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries Xie Yuan talked about peace and development at the International Peace Forum during the Festival.
Zhang Wenxiong, member of the Hunan Provincial Committee of CPPCC and director of the Publicity Department of Hunan Provincial Committee, Vice Governor Dai Daojin, and Vice Chairman of the Hunan Provincial Committee of CPPCC Liu Xiao also attended the Forum. Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial People’s Congress Liu Lianyu presided at the Forum.

More than 300 participants including officials from consulate generals to China, representatives of international friendship cities, international friendship organizations and overseas Chinese attended the Forum.
The fifth China Zhijiang International Peace and Culture Festival began on September 5.
