Hunan's New Scenic Spots Promoted at Travel Trade Fair

The three-day 2012 China Domestic Tourism Trade Fair kicked off in Qingdao City, Shandong Province, on the morning of April 13, 2012.

Hunan delegation, consisting of travel bureaus from 14 cities and prefecture and 42 counties, 24 scenic spots, 6 hotels, and 6 travel agents, attended the fair. A number of new scenic spots showcased at the roc-flying Hunan Pavilion appealed to many visitors.

The 216-square-meter Hunan Pavilion had 28 booths and focused on displaying scenic areas in Changsha. The new scenic spots include Miyin Temple in Ningxiang County, Hunan First Normal University, Hunan Forest Botanical Garden, and sea of bamboos in Taojiang County.

New approaches were used for promoting the scenic spots. At Hongxiang Ancient Commercial Town booth, a “boss” in the costume of the Ming and Qing dynasties (1368-1912AD) presented to the visitors copper coins--Hongjiang Tongbao.

Themed with happy and healthy travel, Hunan's promotion highlighted tourist routes and products such as Changsha tour for recreation, health and joy, west Hunan's ethnic and folk travel, south Hunan's religion and eco-leisure travel, Loudi City's Meishan Dragon King's Palace and Ziquejie Terrace, happy and healthy travel by Wuhan-Guangzhou high-speed railway.
