Hunan Tea Co., Ltd. held a working conference of tea planting bases on March 17th, and signed purchasing contracts with over 400 tea plantations and major planters at a protected price worth 2.2 billion yuan.
It won unanimous praise from local government and tea planters for it fundamentally guaranteed tea sales for tea planters, thus ensuring the sustained increase of their income, up 27% annually.
Hunan Junshan Yinzhen Tea Co., Ltd. inked a strategic cooperation agreement on yellow tea with Hunan Agricultural University, Hunan Tea Research Institute (HTRI) and Yueyang Municipal People’s Government. Through the industry-university-research institute cooperation, great efforts will be made to build a yellow tea industry with output value of 1 billion yuan within 3 years, and 3 billion yuan within 5 to 7 years.
Tea bases which have made great contributions in 2010 were also rewarded on the conference.
