Hunan Embroidery of Mao Zedong's Portrait Completed

A piece of Hunan embroidery of Mao Zedong's Portrait, four meters long and two meters wide, was completed in the Hunan Embroidery Research Institute, Kaifu District, Changsha City, on the afternoon of May 11, 2014. It has been made by combined efforts of 62 embroidery workers for more than two months. Various stitches, such as plain stitch, elaborate stitch, cross stitch, and random stitch have been used. The work was hailed for its ingenious design and fine skill.
