Hunan Embroidery Culture and Art Festival Kicks off

The Fourth Hunan Handicrafts Exposition was unveiled at the Hunan Exhibition Hall. It gathered close to 100,000 masterpieces in ten classes and a hundred varieties from over 300 enterprises in Hunan. Over 300 embroidery masterpieces, including works in four Chinese famous embroideries, Hunan Embroidery, Sichuan Embroidery, Guangdong Embroidery and Jiangsu Embroidery, are exhibited. Art ceramics, handicrafts made of palm and bamboo, sculpture and embroidery mesmerized many audiences. The most attractive one is the Hunan "embroidery men" who do needlework skillfully in the exhibition.

With the guidance of Liu Aiyun, inheritor of the national intangible cultural heritage Hunan embroidery, these artists from Hunan Arts and Vocational College showcased their embroidery skills together, attracting a lot of visitors.
