Recently, citizens at Dongyi Community of Dong’an Street in Furong District of Changsha had a fair themed “Happy Lifestyle with Low Carbon”. A group of children born after 2005 staged a show on the T-platform with their "fashionable clothing" made from worn-out shopping bags, waste newspapers and old books, looking like real stars.
The small-sized fair appeared on the community square with a variety of goods. Residents can exchange for greenery with waste battery in "Green Pawnshop" and share life wisdom at the "Low-carbon Exchange Bar".
The community and the Association for Science and Technology of Furong District co-organized a series of activities like quiz on scientific and technological knowledge and bicycling along Liuyang River, in an attempt to popularize the concept of low carbon and energy-saving among people's daily life.
