2011 Hunan Agricultural Conference on International Cooperation and Exchange was held in Changsha on the afternoon of October 21. 63 agricultural officials from 15 countries including Nepal conducted face-to-face discussions with representatives from 8 Hunan enterprises including Longping High-tech Co., Ltd.
With the acceleration of the opening-up process to the outside world in recent years, 537 Hunan-based enterprises have been entitled to invest in foreign countries with a contracted amount of 8.79 billion dollars as of October, 2011. But the investment and cooperation with foreign countries in the field of agriculture is still at a preliminary stage.
The agricultural officials visited Changsha to attend three agricultural training courses sponsored by Longping High-tech Co., Ltd.. According to Tian Ye, chief of its Training Department, Longping High-tech Co., Ltd., as a Ministry of Commerce approved hybrid rice technology training base , has trained about 3,000 agricultural experts from over 60 countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America; and carried out over 10 national projects for foreign assistance.
