Hong Kong to Help Cultivate Talents in Hunan

On the afternoon of August 5, the Human Resources and Social Security Department of Hunan Province signed an “intelligence cooperation agreement” with the Hong Kong preparatory group of “Talent Support Program of China Western Development Strategy” in Changsha. Vice Governor of Hunan Province, Li Youzhi witnessed the signing ceremony and met with the delegation from the Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of Hong Kong (DAB) headed by its President, Tam Yiu-chung.

According to the agreement, during its three-year duration, Hong Kong will make full use of outstanding overseas education and training resources, and send professionals from related fields to voluntarily provide centralized training for about 600 English teachers of primary and middle schools and employees engaged in travel and business management in Hunan.

Vice Governor Li stated that the inking of the agreement will further innovate talent recruitment in Hunan and exert an active influence on cultivation of basic talents.

Tam Yiu-chung remarked that Hong Kong is willing to provide personnel support for Hunan’s development. He hoped both sides would be able to strengthen communication and achieve mutual benefits and win-win cooperation.
