Hunan Provincial People’s Government, China Southern Airlines Co., Ltd. and Hunan Airport Management Group officially signed a tripartite agreement on joint operation of Guangzhou-Changsha-Frankfurt Flight on the afternoon of May 4. As Hunan’s first nonstop international flight to Europe, it will play a positive role in accelerating Hunan’s economic and social development and vigorously promoting the rise of central China.
Hunan Provincial People’s Government has attached great importance to the opening of this flight and held many conferences for its coordination and preparation. Following the example of customs clearance mode adopted by Guangzhou-Urumchi-Moscow Flight, a special hall for international transit has been set up in the interlayer of Changsha Huanghua International Airport. A rented VIP lounge for international guests has been provided with a fixed lounge bridge. Passengers can get “a through ticket” and enjoy other transit services. Initiated by the Port Administration Office of Hunan Provincial People’s Government, the policy of 72-hour visa-free stays has been launched. The Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Hunan Province has made great efforts to ensure quick visa application to Germany for tour groups and individuals, as well as for official and business purposes. In addition, great efforts have been exerted to gradually improve hardware and software conditions for international transit in an attempt to support the operation of this flight.
