According to its organizing committee, the 2014 Girls’ Day of the Miao Nationality is taking place in south Hunan’s Suining County from May 1 to 7.
The main activities of the Girls’ Day is being held in four places, including Changpu Town, Guanxia Miao Nationality County, Huangsangping Miao Nationality County, and Zhaishi Miao Nationality and Dong Nationality County in Suining County.
The 2014 Annual Conference of Great Xiangxi Regional Cooperation Zone for Tourism & Economy will be held in the county on May 5. A grand opening ceremony, and the plate-awarding ceremony for Huangsang Ecological Demonstration Zone and its title of five-star tourist service point is to be held in the Miao Nationality Stadium of Changpu Town on May 6. From May 1 to 7, a series of folk-custom featured activities will take place in Guanxia Miao Nationality County, Huangsangping Miao Nationality County, and Zhaishi Miao Nationality and Dong Nationality County. The First Hunan "Tent Festival" of Thousands of People and the donation ceremony for the “VOC Love Outreach” to support impoverished mountainous area are going to be held in Huangsang National Nature Reserve from May 1 to 3.
