The Changsha-Nanchang section of Hangzhou-Changsha passenger line of Shanghai-Kunming high-speed railway is planned to advance its opening to this September. A pair of bullet trains marked with “D” will run between Xiamen and Changsha to mark the event. This pair of trains will shorten traveling time between Changsha and Xiamen to almost 7 hours from 20 hours. It means that Changsha locals can take an afternoon train from Changsha and enjoy Gulangyu in Xiamen at night.
The morning train is scheduled to start from Xiamen North Railway Station at 8:36 am and reach Changsha South Railway Station at 15:20, running 6 hours and 24 minutes. The afternoon train will start from Changsha South Railway Station at 14:10 and reach Xiamen North Railway Station at 20:50, running 6 hours and 40 minutes. Stops along the line are Changsha, Pingxiang, Xinyu, Nanchang, Fuzhou, Jianning, Jiangle, Sanming, Youxi, Putian, Quanzhou and Xiamen. The fare is 365 yuan for a first-class seat and 305 yuan for an economy class seat.
