Changde-Yiyang-Changsha High-speed Railway Starts Construction

The Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan Intercity Railway started runs of the whole line that day.

Changde-Yiyang-Changsha High-speed Railway, an important part of Chongqing-Xiamen Passageway, connects with Chongqing-Zhangjiajie-Changde Railway. Its Changde-Yiyang Section shares the line with Hohhot-Nanning Passageway. The high-speed railway has a total length of 156.82 km, with a design speed of 350 km/h. The construction will last for four years.

CPC Hunan Provincial Committee Secretary Du Jiahao announced the start of the Changde-Yiyang-Changsha High-speed Railway project and the operation of the whole line of Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan Intercity Railway. Hunan Governor Xu Dazhe delivered a speech.

Huang Min, vice general manager of China Railway Corporation, made a speech. CPC Hunan Provincial Standing Committee member and CPC Changsha Municipal Committee Secretary Hu Henghua presided over the ceremony. CPC Hunan Provincial Standing Committee member and Secretary General Xie Jianhui attended the event too.
