2016 Chinese Culture Camp in New Zealand Opens

The 2016 Chinese Culture Camp was commenced at New Zealand Ardour Heritage and Education Center for Chinese Language and Culture recently. It was hosted by the Chinese Language and Culture Education Foundation of China, undertaken by the Hunan Overseas Exchange Association and organized by the New Zealand Ardour Heritage and Education Center for Chinese Language and Culture. 

Chinese Consul General to Christchurch Jin Zhijian, Christchurch City Councilor Jimmy Chen, Secretary-general of the Hunan Overseas Exchange Association Liu Zhimin, Executive Director of New Zealand Ardour Heritage and Education Center for Chinese Language and Culture Ding Zhe, together with six Chinese teachers and over 100 overseas Chinese teenagers attended the opening ceremony of the event.

Mr. Jin Zhijian extended warm welcome to these teachers from China while delivering a speech at the opening ceremony. He also expressed sincere thanks to motherland China for supporting and assisting in overseas Chinese language and culture education. He viewed the event as an importance opportunity to strengthen overseas Chinese youths’ understanding on Chinese culture and arts, and to inherit and promote Chinese culture.
