2014 China Feishan Cultural Travel Festival Commences in Jingzhou

2014 China Feishan Cultural Tourism Festival and Local Specialty Fair was launched in Jingzhou on November 15. The festival aims to forge Feishan cultural travel brand, and build a spiritual hometown for surrounding minorities as well as a trading platform for native products, thus promoting regional economic development.

Located in the west of Jingzhou County, Feishan is known as “the First Peak of South Chu” for its breathtaking and enchanting natural scenery.

Currently, the county is accelerating the construction and development of Feishan scenic spot. Themed with natural ecology, religious culture and ethnic customs, the millennium Feishan is gradually unveiling its mystery and showing the vitality of local travel resources.

During the opening ceremony, both Jingzhou Yanjiao Dong Minority Village and Paiya Mountain Forest Park were awarded as “National AAA Level Scenic Spots”. Jingzhou Miao and Dong Autonomous County was also awarded as “Hunan Folk Culture and Art Village” and “Hunan Dong Minority Cultural Heritage Demonstration Base”.
