2013 Tour of China International Road Cycling Race Held in Changsha

2013 Tour of China International Road Cycling Race unveiled its curtain on North Jinxing Road in Wangcheng District of Changsha on the rainy morning of September 23. One hundred and thirty-two contestants competed on the beautiful land of Changsha. Provincial leaders and chiefs of relevant departments including Li Zhiyou, Huang Weidong, Kong Heping, Li Shun, Liu Mingxin and Xia Jianping attended the ceremony.

The track of Changsha section measures 41.6 kilometers in length. Each contestant has to circle three times to finish the 124.8-kilometer journey. After fierce competition, Kleim Daniel from Luxembourg Team Leopard Trek won the championship of the section and obtained a yellow jersey, which is awarded to the player who finishes all stages in fastest combined time. Tuguldur Tuulkhangal from Mongolian national team got a polka-dot jersey which is given for the best climber in mountain stages. Shan Shuang from Hengxiang Team of China won a white jersey, which is designed for the best young rider below 25 years old.

Rated as International Cycling Union (UCI) 2.1, China Road Cycling Race enjoys much influence home and abroad as one of the four brand sporting events of China, along with China Open, China F1 Grand Prix and Snooker China Open.
