From August 12 to 16, Secretary of the CPC Zhangjiajie Municipal Committee Yang Guangrong led a travel promotion group to South Korea, publicizing “Zhangjiajie Style” intensively. Both Zhangjiajie travel promotion film played in Seoul Times Square and Zhangjiajie folk custom performances, like toasting songs of Tujia Nationality, waving dance, Sangzhi folk songs, and Tianmen Fox Fairy Show, attracted the locals.
In South Korea, young people often company their parents to tour in world natural heritage site Zhangjiajie, as a present for filial piety. Thus the country has become the largest inbound tourist source of Zhangjiajie. This year, the China-South Korea Tourism Year, Zhangjiajie promotes its travel resources in South Korea to attract more young tourists from the country.
During the visit, the group inked strategic cooperation agreements with South Korean travel agencies like HAHA TOUR and MODE TOUR. The two travel agencies sent 120 thousand Korean tourists to Zhangjiajie in 2014.
