The 14th COTA International Conference of Transportation Professionals (CICTP2014) was held in Changsha on July 5. 800-plus scholars and experts of transportation industry from more than 10 countries attended the conference.
The theme of the conference is “Safe, Smart and Sustainable Multimodal Transportation”. The participants will not only exchange innovation concept on safe, smart and sustainable development, but also discuss the development and application of advanced technologies in transportation field. The conference was held in central China for the first time, which is conducive to create a good platform for promoting the development of transportation science and technology.
Chen Guangze, director of the Ethiopia National Bureau of the World Bank, delivered a speech at the conference. He said that the World Bank pays great attention to transportation issues of sustainable cities and remote areas. The World Bank hopes to establish cooperative relationship with the Chinese government, strengthen the cooperation of transportation major in colleges, and cultivate excellent talents for the development of sustainable transportation.
