The Yellow Stone Village ( Huangshizhai) lies in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park(Zhangjiajie park).With unique and hight cliffs, It is one of the five classic tour routes for travelers in Zhangjiajie. A popular saying is “It is just waste your time if you do not visit Yellow Stone Village when you are in Zhangjiajie”. Yellow Stone Village is the earliest developed spot in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. It is approximately 800 meters above the ground, and 1109 meters above sea level averagely. The village is characterized by the overhanging cliffs, high staking platforms, jagged rocks and elegant apexes. And it is reputed as the enlarged potted landscape landscape and miniature fairyland.
There are two routes on the top of yellow stone village, the first is the small circle, which only takes 5o mins, it can save you a lot of time and energy.However, 2 hours is needed when you choose the bigger one, what is more ,it is not as crowded as the smaller one.
It is very good for health to hike along the top of Yellow stone stronghold Village. The summits fresh air can not only invigorates your lungs but also rejuvenates your skin. Along the way, numerous fantastic scenes meet the hikers in quick succession: Six Wonders Pavilion, Star Gathering Stage, Five Fingers Peaks, Front Garden, Echo Wall, Heicongnao, Remaining Piers of the Heavenly Bridge, Clouds Drifting Cave, Golden Turtle n the Clouds Sea, to mention just a few.
There are two approaches to tour the place; one is cable way, people take 3 minutes free bus at Laomuwang to Lower Cable Station, then 5 minutes cable to the top of Yellow Stone Stronghold Village. And it will take us 2 hours to take every scenic spot to the top of Zhangjiajie park. The other way is hiking, hiking begins at Laomuwang from the front mountain, 3800 steps lead to the top, it will take 2 hours hiking, and 2 hours tour on the top. You can also take one way cable.There is a buffet restaurant on the top of Yellow Stone Village.

A : Star Gathering Stage--- This name is given by Zhang Jinfu, the former state councilor on November 28,1983. He recited a poem casually:" Hundreds of peaks compete their beauties with each other and thousands of trees are luxuriantly green, all kinds of beauties are in sight, and it is difficult to speak them out one by one. It is not in the heaven, but more beautiful than the other scenic spots in the world, it is worthy of the above words to comment the landscape here." as the ancient poem goes like:" The imposing tower is so high that you can almost gather the stars on the sky. we dare not speak loud, for fear of disturbing the immortals."what a romantic place.
B: Front Garden---It is in this huge wide valley, countless stone peaks and columns gather together, competing with each other for the attention, and present us a massive"peak forest". All of these varied peaks have their own unique appearance: some resemble human beings, some animals, some swords, some spears, some vases, still others look like towers,and on and on it goes.the range winds consistently up and down all the way. And for some parts, many peaks rise from the ground and penetrate to the sky. these jagged rocks and grotesque boulders seem to be holding a magnificent party. Former Premier Zhu Rongji, after his visit here, expressed his wonder and astonishment in a poem:" There must be immortals inhabting the summits of Zhangjiajie." Is there a celestial being in the world? If it was, it must be us.
C: Remaining Piers of the Heavenly Bridge-- "Who can say heaven posseses the best scenery? Natural scenery of this area is even more fascinating" Between huangshi fort and its counter-part, Yuanjiajie, lies a wide canyon. A multitude of strangely shaped sanstone peaks form a veritable sea. when the gentle breezes blow, we can even taste the flavor of the majestic mountains. Within this sea of peaks, six massive colunms stand in a line, rising about 200 meters high from the base of the canyon, the two in the middle are a little higher than their comrades, and when the sun bathes the landscape after a rain, occasionally a brilliant rainbow will span the sky connecting the peaks like a celestial bridge. such a "heavenly bridge" does not appear often, but the six peaks can always be viewed, so they are aptly named "the Remaining Piers of the Heavenly Bridge".
